This course meets the Dental Board of California’s requirements for 16.5 units of continuing education.
There are two categories of consultants being certified by CADP.
The Procedural QA Consultant is a non-dentist. This classification requires:
- A minimum of three years in the dental field (auxiliary, dental assistant, registered dental assistant, register dental hygienist, dental office staff, or insurance industry.)
The Certified QA Consultant is a dentist. This classification requires:
- Current valid license to practice dentistry in the United States, without encumbrances.
- Minimum three years’ experience in the dental field after graduation from dental school, with a statement of clinical practice experience.
- Minimum one-year experience in the insurance industry (auditor, consultant, plan staff, etc.)
A certificate of course completion (only) is awarded to those attendees who do not meet the basic requirements for certification. The course completion certificate acknowledges the ability to perform a quality assurance assessment, however the licensure, clinical or insurance requirements for credentialing have not been satisfied. Persons holding this certificate are encouraged to pursue positions, which allow the deficiencies to be corrected.
CADP requests that all QA Assessments intended for use in the shared assessment project are performed by CADP Certified QA Consultants only. This request validates the principles of the shared assessment by assuring that all consultants have met minimum requirements.
